Retiring to France in 2002  has rekindled my interest in Railways both real & model . So , I decided to go about photographing the current scene on the SNCF and more importantly SAVING the photos,  having parted company with my Steam photos from the 60's and diesel photos from the '80's due to various moves.This collection is my birds eye view of the French railways in 2007 and hopefully years to come !

My interest has been augmented with a good understanding of individual classes and most importantly that a good number of locos will dissappear in the not too distant future. I have decided to increase my activity in the rail travel & spotting scene so as to capture the final days of some of the classes which appear in my region of South West France : Namely - electrics : BB9300 & BB8500 ; Diesels BB63500 and units X2800 . I have created separate pages already for BB9300 & X2800 - other classes will follow in due course
