The attraction of this location to me was the frequency and variety of workings in the early 80s .Frequent passenger services both local and Long distance were still complemented by Summer weekend holiday workings.Freight was still bouyant with regular workings of Freightliner / Chlorine & Bromine tanks /Cement Presflos / Stone traffic and a couple of trip freights.
The timetable at the moment is purely a summary of movements .Timetabling has served to point out a number of flaws in my layout design - not insurmountable but flaws nevertheless : 1)Limited access to Up lines 2) No hidden turning facility on main lines . 3)No run off from up lines without crossing down lines 4) No run off to Town branch from down line- must run round or reverse at Junction.
All freight except the freightliner trains will pass through the yard involving loco change .Here are the main passenger and freight workings :
I don't have some of the stock listed so compromises will have to be made in the short term - marked in red.
